How to start a budget

Happy Friday ladies!

I am in the process of building my budget and was hoping I could get some general feedback of what things cost (DJ, photographer, flowers, limos). I know things widely range based on packages and stuff but was wondering if there are some of you out there who wouldn't mind sharing some of the ranges you've heard for these things. I appreciate it! If you are more comfortable with FM, please feel free.

Thank you!

the dj i am using is about 1200
flowers are 1500 ( includes all bq's centerpieces, etc.)
photographer is around 3000
limo is 1000 ( for a hummer and a limo to pick us up at midnight)
hope that helps

I think it all depends on your style, what you want and what you are willing to save on.

We had an overall dollar amount that we were working with, that has grown since the beginning, but there are some things that we wanted and are willing to work our a$$es off for. Photo and Video we allowed $5,000 for.
Flowers I budgetted $2,000 for.
Limos $1,500 for (we haven't booked this yet)
then you need DJ, ceremony, reception, dress, invitations, honeymoon, BP gifts.....

I felt that the tools on the Knot and Wedding Channel were good for figuring out what percentage of the total budget certain things were going to account for. Figure out how much you're willing to spend first, and go from there.

Decide what's most important to you and FH and what you want to splurge on and what you want to save on.

I think most people's total budgets are between $25 and $50K.

If you end up falling in love with a hall that's expensive you may cut back in other areas.
