How to stuff an invitation envelope?

Hi ladies -

I'm having some confusion here..
Whats the order that you put all the elements in the envelope? And which way do they face?
i.e. - invite, response card, response envelope, directions and hotel card.
Do you face them towards the flap or towards the front of the envelope?

Thanks!!
