How to tie 'named' bows?

Hi,

Does anyone have any good links on how to tie the favor bows with the names and dates on them?

Whenever I do it the names and dates end up on the wrong sides, and other various problems.

iused verseit.com to do my engagement invites and am using them again to re-learn the flat bow for my menu....

You need craft wire!! You make bunny ears and then tie the wire around the middle to make a bow. Then, you can attach the bow to something. Here was ours:
