How would I word my INVITATIONS if....

Both sets of parents are hosting and my parents are divorced. We're not sure how this should be worded! Also, my mom kept her married name (married 25 yrs) so would she be Mrs still or Ms?? My dad is remarried but his new wife won't be on the invite.

Would it be like this?

Mr. Joe Smith (my dad) and Ms. Jane Smith (my mom)
and
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Roberts (FH's parents)
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their children
Jess
&
Len
on Saturday blah blah blah

Thanks!!!!!
Jess

My girrfriend was in the same situation, except the grooms parents were divorced and they worded it like this:

Mr. & Mrs. Joe Smith
and
Mrs. Minnie Mouse
and Mr. Mickey Mouse
request the honour of your presence...

my mom kept her maiden name so we worded...

Mr. Jack XXXX and Ms. Barbara YYYY

together with

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas ZZZZZ

request the honour of your presence

blah blah blah

I liked the 'together with' (my mom's idea)

better than another 'and'

i felt like mr. and ms. and mr. and mrs. was too many 'ands'...

So she stayed Mrs. even though they were divorced?

Re: How would I word my INVITATIONS if....

funny story about the 'together with'. I ordered my invites online and called my mom and read everything to her before I ordered. she said great, great...i ordered and an hour later she called back and said i think 'together with' would sound nicer than all those 'ands'. Lo and behold, i had already ordered!! she was so mad that i couldn't even wait an hour!

two days later the company that i ordered through called me to say that my first line was too long for the paper so i had to split my parents names to two lines. it was a blessing in disguise b/c i was able to change it to 'together with'.

i like it too! thanks mom!

We did it like this:

Mr. Smith
and
Ms. Smith
together with
Mr. and Mrs. Doe

I think you have it right in your wording.
