How would you feel?

Dh and I return from our honeymoon to a message on our answering machine from MIL saying how excited she was because FIL and her have just watched our un-cut wedding video 3 times and they loved it! ???? Oh yeah - we haven't seen anything yet - we didn't even know it was ready.

well - they paid for the video - but it's a relative of MIL. we signed the contract and they had all our contact info. but MIL claims that they dropped it off at her job. my response is that its not like it was a photo album that was just left on the table - she had to physcally pop it into the vcr and watch it. I just want to know if we are over reacting b/c she just left a message on our phone saying that WE have serious problems with paranoia (sp?) and that its only going to get worse!!!!!! UGHHHH

WHAT!?! I would be so mad! She should not have watched it, they sould have waited til you got home. Oh wow I would be SO SO MAD!

no it definately is our professional video - you know the one that followed me around ALL day and got GOD knows what (wait that;s right MIL and FIL know what!) on tape!!!!!!!!!!

That is so wrong! It was your wedding- of course you should be the first ones to see it.

I think I would be a bit upset. I think the one that really deserve to watch how your wedding unfolded on video First is the Bride and The Groom. Even if they had dropped off the tape at her job, they should have saved it for both of you when you returned.

I would be LIVID. THEY watched YOUR wedding video before you?!?!? That is absurdly rude, I don't care WHO paid.

YIKES! Honestly I don't know how I would react--the fact that it's the UNCUT version makes me a tad uneasy, though. I'd definitely express to FMIL your disappointment.

DH has told them how upset we are (maybe not in the best ways - but they know!) But now we are in an all out brawl with them.

That would tick me off too!! My MIL and FIL saw my finished wedding album before I did I was mad at my hubby for allowing it, but now I am over it. But I was totally pis$ed off when it happened!!!

I think you're right and they probably didn't even realize that you two were probably most looking forward to it. I'd be darned pissed.
