How would you feel....

How would you feel....

I have a friend from Milwaukee that I talk to on the computer with. I went to visit her and she came to visit me. We send b-day/holiday gifts to each other. I asked her if she knows if she'll be able to attend the wedding. She said she doesn't know. She'll be off the beginning of the month for 2 weeks. She's visiting a friend on the east coast. As soon as I booked the hall, I told her. I wanted to make sure she knew the date. I guess I'm a little disappointed that she may not be at the wedding. What gets me, she found the time to attend Clay Aiken concerts across the country. An important day in my life, I thought she would try to make the time.

Am I wrong for being a little disappointed.

sad - but i would have to take it in stride, point in case a BMaid cancelled 1 MONTH before my wedding -dresses were ordered and all.
As my sis told me, those that WANT to be there WILL BE there !! ie my brother flew in from Texas, just for me.

Hang in HB

I completely understand. My friend of 13 years is not attending my wedding because she claims she will not be around. Please, I told her the date 18 months in advance, you can plan around it if it is really important to you to be there. So, yes, I would be hurt.

I totally understand and can sympathize!

A ‘friend’ of mine since we were 11 years old told me recently that she wasn’t sure if she can make it to my wedding because of the expense. But it was ok for me to spend $1000 to be her MOH back in 1992 (when I was making $20K a year!)

We have guests coming from Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, Ohio, Florida, etc....

I sent out STDs and gave them our website with the OOT information on it and many people made their flights and reservations back then.

I am sure there will be others who live close that don't come for 'some' reason, but that will be their loss.

Where there is a will, there is a way!
