How would you feel....

Monday was our RSVP and we got all our cards. We're 5 people under our minimum. How would you feel if someone asked you to a wedding after the RSVP date.

hmmm after wedding planning, i would understand (given budget constraints and all that stuff)... before that though, im not sure.

it also depends on the relationship with the person youre asking (and if theyre Petty over the formailities of it, or are genuinely excited for you and want to be there, even if it were only a last minute option)

you should get new RSVP cards printed up with a new date. you can get them done on eBay for peanuts... and you wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings.

i agree... you can even pick them up at Michaels and just print them out yourself right away (i still have a bunch left over actually, if you werent ALLLLLLL the way in brooklyn ). i think changing the date would keep them from ever even knowing

lol when i went for my fitting 2 weeks ago, there was traffic on the belt and southern state both ways

I dont think Brooklyn is that far... I got Gail from Bethpage to Brooklyn in less than 30 min.. Oh wait.. it was like 1 am and I was driving like a bat outta hell

I wouldn't print new RSVPS - JMHO I think honesty is the best policy and unless the people are dumb they will realize its a last min. invite - I mean the wedding is a month away.

I would call them up and explain the situation and due to your budget you had to cut out alot of people you would have loved to invite but since you got more No's then expected you would love to have them at your wedding.

People understand and I think they would respect the truth over a fake rsvp card anyday.
