How would you feel about having a 'dress Twin'

Original post by MrsMichel07

I wouldn't like to see multiple people in the same dress that I would be wearing.

I don't really think it would bother me too much. Although, since my dress is a discontinued style from the 2005 line from Bridal Originals. I haven't even seen anyone with that designer. I don't think I have to 'worry' or think about that.

At first I didn't want to put up a pic of my dress in fear of this... But then I realized- who the F would even know besides us girls on here?! None of our guests will ever have known unless told so, and would they even care? No way!
[and it also helps that my aunt is making my dress so i KNOW nobody will have my exact dress! Im stealing the idea from the pic I posted in my album but I choose a different lace and my train will be much longer than the actual dress! ]

I would not care at all. Just goes to show you that someone else thought that dress was just as beautiful as you did. Also, since we are not marrying the same man or will not be at the same wedding, I don't see why it would bother anyone.

i'd be a bit upset! especially because i made a lot of changes to the dress, so it would be very surprising to see someone with the same one. but it wouldn't have an effect on my wedding day!

I wouldn't be pissed, so long as she wasn't a date twin as well. . But so far, I have just seen a few girls with the same make of dress, not the same style. I guess you could say I didn't go for the look that everyone else is

I must be alone, but I was very interested in a Maggie dress, and simply because I've seen it on like a dozen girls I opt for a different dress. Its just me but I like knowing that I haven't seen my dress all over LIW.

I woulldn't care as long as it wasn't someone in my family using the same dress!

I agree. 4 of my cousins are getting married within a year of me. now if one of them had the same dress as me, then I would be concerned!

I know there are some 07 brides with the same dress and it doesn't bother me one bit! It is a gorgeous dress and I'm glad that others think it is too! We will ALL look beautiful in it

I don't think I would care much. . it's a compliment to know that someone has the same good taste as you.

It's a female thing that no matter what you wear you really dont want to see another female in the same outfit you have on. The same would definetly go for my wedding dress, but if I see another person whose ordered the same dress then what can you do? It's not like she is going to be at my wedding walking down the isle with me.

it's weird, i actually like it b/c then i get to see pics once they post them of how the dress looks on them-- there is an 07 bride with my dress and there is an 06 bride with my dress-- she sent me pics of her in the dress and it made me fall in love all over again-- seeing it in action, on a real person

here she is: thanks ronkonkgamonga!!!

it wouldnt bother me at all if she was a bride on here!

now, a bunch of my friends are getting married in 07/08 - if they had the same dress I would be a little upset but you know what? My guests are going to think I am the most beautiful bride in the world on my day ( not bc I am. . . just bc thats how you feel when it is someone that you love!) so i wouldnt freak over it!

I know of two people that have the same dress as me and one even has the same date. It doesnt bother me, we are on opposite sides of long island and I saw one in the dress and it looked great on her....just made me see how beautiful the dress is on other people too. It is not like you are going to be seeing these people at the same time or place.

I don't care at all - like someone else said - there are so many other people getting married the same day and everything that, to me, it's silly to think you are the only one walking around getting married and wearing that dress. JMO I have a dress twin and I think thats awesome! We just have great taste! Not to mention that even if you are wearing the same dress, it will not look the same on two different people.
