it depends on the vendor and the fee for me.......

kudos to the other brides with fantastic negotiating skills!

it happens all the time, unfortunately part of business. i wouldn't sweat it. if you did your homework and came to the conclusion that the vendor's price is worth what you contracted, then it is what it is... someone else may not feel this way, and depending on the vendor's needs/wants for the extra business, he/she may adjust accordingly...

Ask! Why not, what's the worse that can happen? They'll say no. Don't get any other bride in trouble, but just say that you've heard that this fee was waived for someone else and you'd like it waived as well. Mention that you really love their work and would love to work with them - *AND* that you have friends who are getting married all the time.

Women are too nice! Lots of money is spent in this industry because people are afraid of being mean or pushy.

Have you already signed the contract? If not - insist they waive it. so many vendors have extra fees that they waive for 90% of their clients just so the clients feel like they are getting a deal (they still aren't getting a bargain since it is built in)

ASK!!! If you haven't signed with them - you have more leverage
Regardless of whether you have booked - ask about it.
