How would you like to encourage a 4 yr. old girl, in Donna's hometown, who doesn't have long to live?

Donna just sent me this e-mail. Thanks!! Mary MOB

Hello Committee! I am writing to ask if our Relay committee would help me throw a CHRISTMAS CARD SHOWER for Hannah Garman who is the 4 year old daughter of Shanelle Lee's cousin. Shanelle's cousin died 2 years ago of cancer and now her youngest child, Hannah, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. She has had 2 surgeries at Hershey and this week had a port put in her head. They believe that she will come home this week. She has been given weeks to possibly months to live. Her dad and her big sister and brother are dealing with the unthinkable. Shanelle shared that their church has donated many toys for the kids, but Hannah likes to open cards and she thought a card shower could bring her some sunshine. Please help me share some relay Christmas love with this family. Cards may be mailed to : Bob and Shirley Garman at 704 Orchard Road, Lititz, PA 17543. Hannah's father's name is Darin and her sister is Brittany and her brother is Jordan. Here is the caring bridge website you can go to learn more about Hannah's journey

Thank you in advance for helping to bring cheer to one of our littlest cancer warriors. God bless. Beth McCollom

oh wow! how sad :( It really brings light to what the holidays are REALLY supposed to signify: not all of this shopping BS, but truly about family, and friends, and reaching out to others! I will definatly send a card, and thank you for posting this!

you're welcome Mary! And if anyone wants to donate toys to the StonyBrook peds ER, please FM me. There are so many sick kids that come in and out of there everyday, and we could ALWAYS use crayons, coloring books, stuffed animals, video tapes. So, let me know :)

Wow my prayers are with Hannah and her family

My cousin battled cancer a few years ago, and became an angel at the ripe old age of 4 years old. I will definitely send a card!

FH and I will sit down tonight and write a really special card. This is amazing. I am so thankful to be able to do this for Hannah. It is something so small that will take only minutes. If it brightens this lil girl's day for just a second, it is MORE than worth it!

I agree. I couldn't imagine ever going through that, but, God has a plan for us all and there has to be a reason why she is going through this... although at times when I see things like this I would like to take on the disease myself and give them a chance to be kids and live...
