How would you paint this room?

I want to paint it a green color but do you paint the whole room w/ the ceiling or just the side and back wall? I need opinions.

i think painting the ceiling and arching part would make the room feel closed in, so i would paint the wall with the windows. sage green would be nice. then i'd leave the wainscot on the side walls. at least it looks like wainscot. is it like a loft room?

Or third bedroom is shaped like that. We painted the entire room (including the ceiling) but we had a light color (yellowish). I don't think I would paint the whole room green unless it was really light, like cocoa said that would make the room closed in. You can paint the wall with the windows and then either just do the lower wall or the lower wall & the sloped wall, leaving the flat top part white.

It's painted paneling. It is like a loft. One of the walls is a half wall and open.

just paint the low walls, the window wall, and the one opposite it.

Maybe I will do this. You think it will look better w/ a color?

I would paint the window wall and the wall where the door is the sage green, and the lower walls on the side a lighter green, and the ceiling white.

I think that would make the room look bigger and not feel closed in

I'd paint the wall where the windows are AND the ceiling the green/sage color. Where there is paneling, I'd paint it a white or off-white (it resembles wainscotting.)

If the wall opposite the windows is solid as well, I'd paint that green/sage too and paint the door and trim to match the paneling.

In the 2nd photo the ceiling is darker (or so it looks). I like that idea- a really light shade of green on the lower walls and the window wall, then the ceiling a little bit of a darker green color...

i plan on painting the eves walls... the window wall and the wall aopposite the windows...

but i am going to paint the slaighted walss and celing like a ivoryish color.... not bright white....

i friend of mine painted the slanted ceilings and it made the room soooo small!!!

p.s. those pics are with the seller still in there.... we close 5/4

That is a great idea also!

I would say just paint the window wall and the one opposite and then maybe the low walls too.

Pretty room!

we ended up painting the ceiling (the top and sides going down to the 'low wall') one color and the walls another (window wall, door side wall, and mini walls ( :
