Slowly but surely I am learning how to cook 'just like mom'. Practice makes perfect. I would never be bold to say that I am as good as my mom or FMIL...but of course FH would. Otherwise he knows he'll never get fed.

Re: How would your FH/DH rate you cooking?
DH considers my cooking gourmet (but I don't - he's just really easy to please )

Same here! And he thinks my baking is on par with world famous pastry chefs!

I've sampled the baking, and I have to say it is!
And, as for the sangria served in glasses bigger than my head...well, there are no words!

he says its great- i think its 'experimental'
there are some things that i can make that are really easy and good- and others that are OK.
im always trying new things - i did indian food last week- greek- italian - all kinds.

Re: How would your FH/DH rate you cooking?
My DH would rate my cooking as really really good, I like to cook all types of foods but it takes me awhile to perfect new recipes. I like comfort foods and seafood, I'm not a very good 'gourmet' chef. I'm not into a lot of fancy ingredients.

He's a better cook than I am. I can bake really well but I can't make a real meal; I am okay with the basics.

I think he would say I am Very good WHEN I cook. He usually cooks, but when I do, I do a very good job.

I love to cook - bake - grill - whatever! He'd say I'm expert, but that's just because I listened to his comments early-on, and have modified the recipes to fit his tastes.
I'm proud to say that (when he's home) he gets a home-cooked meal at least 6 nights a week.....gotta keep my man happy!

DH loves my cooking. And I love to cook for him. It makes me happy to see him enjoy his dinner/breakfast.

I think I am better with baking, but I don't like to bake too much because I am afraid I'll most of it

Re: How would your FH/DH rate you cooking?
well my FMIL is not the greatest cook , so anything I made that is not from a frozen Costco box is an improvement.
My mother, however, is a gourmet chef. she's incredible! I have a LOT to live up to there.
