How young is too young

for a fg?

I'm having a flower girl who will be 5, but my cousin just had a baby in september---she'll only be like 2 at the wedding. I was thinking about just getting her a similar dress as the 5 year old FG and maybe just putting her in pictures and keeping our fingers crossed that we can get some cute shots of her holding the basket.

Do you think it's crazy for a 2 year old to be a FG? I'm thinking about holding off asking my cousin until the baby is at least a year old, maybe by then we can see what kind of kid she is (i.e. really shy, nervous)

I dont think so as my FG will turn 3 3 days before the wedding...

kids are kids and 2 or 8 if they get scared theyll run or cry or so whatever...they are kids

yeah that's what I think too. If she cries, she cries. Her mom will be there to hold her, I just thought that the pictures would be adorable!

i dont think the age matters i think its the behavior of the kid..

you can have a 2 year old that will do just what you tell her to do.

and you can have a 5 year old that is going to run around and scream. so i would go more by how the child reacts and behaves than by the age!

the only thing my church asked was that since shes so young is to have a plan, like if she cries her mom will get up and grab her... which is fine!

My fg will be 2 & 1/2 yrs old by the time of our July wedding. She will turn 3 that December.

Someone I know had a 'flower-ette girl' who was carried down the aisle by her parent who was also in the bridal party ...

My flower girl will have just turned 2 the month before our wedding. I was in a wedding when I was almost 2 and I did pretty good so Im not concerned.
