I know traditionally it's supposed to be the brides church, but my church is so big and we are planning a small wedding. I don't want to feel like nobody is there. FH's church seemed very dark inside to me but had the straight down the aisle look I vision, where mine you enter from the side and then go up the aisle. How did you pick?
We're using my church. My FH's church has the big church and then a smaller chapel. They christened our niece and nephew in the chapel
We are getting married in FH's church. My reasoning for this was because my family is not very religious and we do not go to church every Sunday. His parents go to church every Sunday and are very religious based on their culture (Filipino). When I brought the idea of using his church instead of our parish, my mom thought it was a great idea and that my FMIL would love the idea. Also, his church is beautiful and every person I tell says how beautiful that church is.
We are getting married in my church. Mine is 10 minutes from FH's and both our parents were married in his church but my church is brand new (just rebuilt about 10 years ago) so it was a lot prettier. I'm pretty sure the same old red carpet is up on the altar now as it was when my parents got married there in 1987 lol
It is the church I have been attending my whole life.
