How's everyone staying organized?

I just went to look for something (phone number to call from work tomorrow) and I can't find anything...everything is all over this notebook, that folder...HELP!!

make a binder with folders in it. Label each folder for a specific thing. That way when you need something you just have to look through one folder and at the same time, everything is in one place.

I have a 3-ring binder...in sections with page dividers and sleeves to place numbers or brochures into...sheets of paper with pics & ideas taped to them...I'm almost maniacal with organization.

the best way to store all your ideas, your to do lists, your vendor info, your appointments, your opinions on them etc etc.

everything else that i collected i just separated into different folders .. (contracts, misc wedding info, etc.)

and remember to throw out things you're definitely not going to use! i had so much ish laying around.

I bought a book - shiney blue so you cannot lose it! - and list all numbers/addresses/webpages/idea in it. I sectioned it off and so far so good!

I use one of those HUGE plastic file folders...and it's great because I bring it everywhere I go. I have folders for flower ideas...and all the other things I've seen in magazines that I like, I just cut them out and shove them in the appropriate spots.

All my contracts are there...everything!!!!!! I love it.

I have a plastic thingie w/like 10 sections where I keep stuff ripped outta magazines, flyers, etc.

My reception site gave me a wedding planner w/pockets to hold receipts & all that so I use that.

Palm Pilot to keep track of appointments

Excel/The Knot to keep track of payments I need to make & an overall reccord of what we've spent/will spend.

I have a binder for papers that is divided according to vendor type, and I use Excel to track everything including contact info, guest list, guest addresses, gifts and whether thank yous were sent, costs by vendor, costs paid, costs due and due date, seating arrangements, songs to play, photos to request, etc....

My sister gave me a binder 'wedding organizer'. I put all pictures and things in that and I have everything in one expandable folder (contracts etc). If I lost the folder I'd be screwed

i have a binder where i keep contracts and photos and stuff, everything else is in an excel file.

i have a file cabinet at home so i have a green hanging folder with many manila folders inside, labelled flowers, photog, reception hall etc. i always know where everything is. i use the knot to keep track of what i have left to do, the guestlist and the budget. seems to all be working pretty well so far.

I agree with the folder idea. I have one of those accordian folders and each tab has a different topic (flowers, DJ, photographer, etc) and I keep everything in there is date order. My mom also bought me a Wedding Workbook that is good for organization and for knowing what should be done and when, etc. I list all the websites and phone numbers for the vendors in this book.
