Massapequa is very nice. I'm not sure what parts are not so good. Two people I know live south of Merrick Rd (one lives off a road at the end of Division Avenue and the other is in the Nassau Shores neighborhood) and its a beautiful area

I know some of Massapequa is in different school districts (Farmingdale/Plainedge/Massapequa/Amityville) and I think you have to check which school districts are the better ones and as a result you can probably tell which are the better areas.

You want to check Massapequa by school district. If it is Massapequa or Plainedge you are fine any other's I might be wary of.

I grew up in South Massapequa (Biltmore Shores). I went to Birch Lane Elementary, Ames Jr. High & Massapequa Class of '90. My parents still live in the area and the neighborhood they live in is all young families with children..

It's a GREAT neighborhood & the school district is fantastic!!

If you have any questions you can FM me.
