How's this for a fun contest?

Original post by LIWeddings

As many of you know Scott of Danielle&Scott fame details cars and from what I hear he is pretty darn good too! So as a way to promote his business (yup I'm breaking my own rules) and have fun I am going to run a contest. The winner gets their car detailed by Scott and I get to pay for it! Good for you, good for Scott and for me, well, I like paying for things and making people happy so that makes me a winner too! Here's how the contest works.

There are two cars that are my dream cars. One is an older car and one is new. They are of different makes. What you need to do is ask me questions on this thread about the cars in an effort to guess what they are. I will not tell you the make, model or anything that will out right give the answer away. When you think you know what the cars are FM me ONLY do not post it here. I will not tell you if you are right so you can send in as many as five guesses over the contest (each guess must contain both cars). Send me the year, make and model of both cars. In the event of a tie, there will be a random drawing. The contest closes Wednesday the 14th at noon.

All The Best!

Are either cars 2 or 4 seaters??
Are either 'specialty' cars that need to be ordered? Or can you buy straight from the dealers lot?

Both two seaters!

You can order them from the dealer but I doubt you'd be able to get the new car. You have to be a somebody to receive it.

What could I be missing?

Is it a small block engine
or is it a big block engine

Reread the entire thread and write down all the clues ... the answers you need are all on this thread

Yes this is very correct.

Here's a bit of a hint. The old car came Convertible or Coupe. But the Coupe had a special feature that became famous. I'm looking for you to note that special feature. This was the ONLY year they did this.

Thanks!

I had a feeling that was it, but thought it didn't have to be in the guess, because it was a hint.
But I added it to my description, hopefully I have it right now.

You did not ask for specific features in your original post. You asked for year, make and model.

You should not change the rules midway through the game.

Rules haven't changed. The special feature is part of the model. By saying it was a special feature was a hint!
