We don't have or know an attorney. How do we find one and how fast do we have to find one?

Re: how/when do we find a lawyer?
Well, I don't like the crooked lawyer jokes when they imply that lawyers are more crooked than others.
There are bad apples in every profession and that is why so many professions need to be regulated.
In fact, many lawyers crack from the pressure and they do things they shouldn't because they can't handle the pressure. this is why the bar associations offer so much in the way of counselling for their attorneys.
Most lawyers I know are extremely devoted and driven to do the right thing.
Anyway, I just believe that picking the right lawyer is not as ewasy as asking a real estate broker for the name of one. Maybe if you've worked with that broker and learned to trust them, it is different. But if it is the seller's broker and you don't even know them, why trust their recommendation??
