i mentioned a few weeks ago about my HS reunion coming up...
i just got the invite..
its in manhatten (which to me is already a deterant - im not a party in the city type of person either is FH) and its $85 a person!!! WHAT?? FH and i grad together so that is $170 - now i really dont want to go
anyone know anything about Redemption Bar and Lounge? thats where it is being held.

I have no idea.. it doesnt even say.. I would assume so.. its from 6-10 - so im going to go all the way into the city for 4 hours? what a joke!

We just had ours at a local bar and everyone complained that is wasn't more formal, but personally I was grateful to be able to show up and leave at whatever time I wanted to and not feel like I had to be stuck there because I had paid a certain amount of $$$.

I just had my HS reunion and it was $85pp too at hotel on LI. It was awful...really bad buffet and cash bar. Everyone I wanted to see was in the group that I went with. Basically, I wanted to scratch my eyes out.

I have been there Gina. It was literally 2 blocks away from my dorms. I lived on 55th between 2nd and 3rd haha and went there alot.
It was pretty nice....I dont know if it's worth 85$ haha and it isnt extremely Big but thats weird that they would have it there...lol

thanks for the info catie. Im sure its nice but like you said, is it worth $85.00? I dont know. Im being a little bratty here, cause its just not what im into, i just feel like my whole class hasn't gorwn up at all, but im sure many people will like it and will go. I think FH and I will not. Maybe 20 year might be different, 10 years - just doesnt seem long enough to feel the need to go...

No way. I wouldnt go. For $85 you should both be getting open bar and lobster.
I'd rather have a nice dinner with FH for $170 than sitting at my 10 year reunion.
