Huffman Koos Sucks!

They are going out of business and are having some good sales. DH and I needed a new bed and bought one on Saturday which was supposed to be delivered yesterday. So they bring the bed and the mattress - but not the bed frame. So - they are completely unhelpful and dont even offer to bring it back so DH tells them he guesses he'll go pick it up later in the week.
So when I get home (I was at dentist) and hear this - I call HK and tell them that f DH has to go pick up the frame - they had better refund the $60 delivery charge - of course they don't want that - so after 4 phone calls from the delivery manager - they say they will redeliver frame today - before 10 am. It's now 1:15 and you guessed it - no bed frame...

My sister bought a floor sample from them before they declared bankruptcy -- they said the bed had to go to the warehouse in NJ and THEN be shipped to her on LI (she bought it at the Melville store). Well the bed came about a month late because the truckers didn't want to pickup for a store in Chapter 11, and only part of it was shipped besides. She just sold the box spring on ebay and is now looking for a platform bed. No wonder they went out of business!!

I had a bad experience with them too on my dining room set..URGH!! I gave up after 3 bad deliveries..what I have now is still damaged.

I'm glad they are finished!!

they are the worst. i took 3 days off work earlier this year trying to get a couch delivered. they were unbelievably unreliable and rude. eventually i got the couch, but it was quite an ordeal.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Huffman Koos - GOOD BYE & GOOD RIDDANCE

I've posted so many times on just what a lousy, horrible company this is, and it's no wonder they are going out of business.

And when they did declare bankruptcy, and announced they were closing, I posted a caution here that whatever their sales were, it would not be worth the aggrivation this company was likely to cause.

I'm sorry to hear so many of you are still having problems with them. I wish you the best. It took me nearly 1 year to get our problems resolved, but basically at that point I had had enough, and more or less settled .. it was making me sick dealing with them .. everyone from every department in that organization is absolutely, disgustingly horrendous ... and that's an understatement!!!

Ugh - I didn't realize how many people had problems with them - no wonder they are going out of business!! And yes - it's 9:30 at night and I don't have my bed frame!!!! I called at 3 this afternoon and was told it was coming - and called again half and hour ago and they can't help me until tomorrow morning now. I want to demand my delivery charge back or some sort of compensation - but I am sure they won't do anything - they don't care if they keep customers at this point!

Update - they just left it outside of my door!!! 9:40 pm - ridiculous!

We went in there and asked for help and the saleslady just disappeared! The someone else tried to help us- umm let me rephrase it- attempted to help us and she disappeared. It is not too difficult to tell me if you sell coat racks! They said they had them somewhere in the store and just left us there ! We walked out and never looked back! No wonder they are going out of business. I used to think they were a reliable company!

we had a very bad experience with them. i ordered a bedroom set from them at the beginning of July. they insisted I pay cash to get an additional 10% off which i did. I was told that the bed and armoire are in but the night tables were arriving at the warehouse the 22nd of july. no big deal i had that week off so i would be there for delivery. well 2 days before my delivery its annouced they are going into chapter 11. i ran down to the store to see what that means for the set and they told me since they havent paid the vendors there is no night tables. I ususally pay everything on credit card to cover myself but this pushy salesman talked me into paying cash. to make a long story short they told me that since i purchased before june 15th i could get a full refund but not at a store level. it would have to be done in the back office and could take up to 12 weeks. i paid cash i should have recieved cash back. at least with a credit card i can dispute. anyway. we recieved the check i believe two weeks ago and thats back from july. pretty scary!!

Be grateful you got the money! I have to admit .. not only am I surprised you did, but I'm also surprised at how 'relatively' quickly you got it .. and I strongly stress the word relatively!!
