Huge fight with my mom last night

So I had a list of guests from my parents and I called last night to just go over the names because they are all korean and I can't tell if they are male or female.

After going through the list, I noticed my aunt and uncle weren't on it (i don't know them by their korean names).

me: 'Where's my aunt and uncle?'
Mom: 'I gave you those addresses before'
me: 'umm, no you didn't'
Mom: 'Yes, and your cousins too.'
Me: 'I definitely would've remembered, no you didnt!
Mom: 'oh, oh, you're right. Your dad mailed those save the dates out. Well, i'll get the addresses but you have to send one to them (starts listing them.'
Me: 'I already have a certain number of invites, now I may not have enough.'
Mom: 'well, why didn't you ask me earlier for them if they were important?


THis is when I BLACKED OUT on her because ever since we got engaged I've been nagging her for a list. a COMPLETE list. And the list she gave me is not so complete. I only have 70 invites. we are at 69 now. I told her to stay up all night if she has to and that she better have a FINISHED list for me by today.

OMG i'm going to kill her and FH too since he also added two people after we already recieved our invites.

I just contacted my invite person to see if she can make me another dozen.

deep breathes. breeeeathe!!!!!! it will be ok! hopefully you can get the extra dozen without a problem.

OMG I totally feel you. My parents are the worst when it came to giving me a COMPLETE guest list. They finally decided to look it over as I sent over my list to the lady! OMG we had such an argument over it and this is why I ordered an extra 15 just in case they remembered somebody that they forgot - PLUS FH keeps on inviting more ppl. I don't know where he thinks we're going to get this $ from!


I hope your invite person can make more invites for you

ugh that is so frustrating!
My GRANDMOTHER just gave me a list of 8 people she wanted invited!! Thankfully my invites have not been made so i increased the order but still...what is wrong with people. I asked who you were inviting months ago when we sent out STDs and you said no one...now you have 8! Then my mom proceeds to say shes inviting like 6 friends...none of these numbers were included in our count! we would have limited our friend list and not sent out as many stds

it will all work out! FH is flipping over the fact that my mom invited some people to the shower that I didn't have on my list. I am fine with it as it was only a few people, but FH doesn't understand that parents invite their people too since he's not close with his parents.

UGH!

last minute add ons are scary!!!!! knowing my family I can just see it happeing to me

Yeah, I know it will work out but if I can't get more invites in time, the add ons are getting a piece of looseleaf paper scrawled with the info

we are not having this issue with my parents, but did with FH's parents. I ended up sending a final list to FMIL and letting her know that that was the list- and it was done.

We added the other friends to the B list

UGh!! FH's dad handed us business cards of people he runs in to and invites them to the wedding. Their addresses are on the back and everything

Hope everything works out lady! If all else fails, send them post-its or even better, Facebook party invite
