so i've left on good terms with my ex's but i'm not really like best friends with them.
i got a myspace comment the other day from an ex and it said:
hey jess, how's it going? i better be invited to your wedding. take care!
huh?!?!?! like i've known him since the 8th grade. but like it's not like i'm inviting everyone i've ever known. he did the same thing to my sister (we weren't together when my sis got married but they knew each other b/c they used to work together). she ended up inviting him and he went.
but like isn't that wierd? does he really think he's invited?

If he went to your sister's wedding he will probably assume he is invited to yours. I am inviting my ex from 9th grade. He and I dated a little on and off (nothing serious). By tenth grade we were best friends and NEVER revisited the past in that way. FH was a little furious at first when I told him he was invited, but saw how close we were and got over it. If you had a good relationship with him, he may find joy in seeing you happy and may want a friendship now that time has passed.

my FH's ex-GF is like that! she e-mails him and says stuff like 'Wow! 120 days till your big day! i can't wait' um...what makes u think you are invited biotch???
just ignore him and his rude behavior!!!

i mean, it's totally up to you if you want to invite him or not but it sounds like you don't really know him that well and you are def not obligated b/c of your sis-- do what you want.
if he gives you a prob about it after just explain that with the overwhelming cost of the wedding after family and close friends you were already at your limit.

my comment has nothing to do with the ex part but the rudeness part.
People realize what they are doing; they try to make you feel bad enough to invite them... I have had quite a few random people I know ask all about the wedding and when they go and this and that....
its sooo rude and tacky!

If it was me I wouldn't invite him. My mother wants to invite one of my ex's (his family is friends with my family). I am not really close with him at all, and I would feel weird with him there, so for now he's on the maybe list.
