it's a med for Crohn's and RA. I'm sure they use it for other things. I'm just sorta freaked out about the self injection part! I'd be ok if I was just going in for shots and someone else was doing it, but myself? what was I thinking? I asked for this med!!!
It's insane. The dr has to put the paperwork through himself to the insurance bc the med is 15k a year without ins and they don't do scripts. Once approved, I have to go there and learn how to do it.
Cmon people, just lie and say its awesome and doesn't hurt much! lol.

Re: humira?
I'm sure it will take some getting used to but if it is going to help you - that slight pinch will seem like cake in the end.
FH teaches first graders and some have epi pens for bad allergies - and they had to be taught how to use it just incase. So if they can do it - you can too!!!!

Re: humira?
i'm sure you'll get used to it. people who have diabetes probably worried about the same thing when they had to start giving themselves insulin injections. i'm a huge baby when it comes to needles, so i totally understand your fear! i hope it's not painful for you, and more importantly i hope it helps your crohns!
