Humor me with this heavy topic...

Is near impossible worth striving for?

Do you put your big-girl (or boy) panties on and just go for it?

Are you better for having tried (and failed)? Or just worn out and downtrodden after the effort?

It really depends on the situation and how 'near impossible' you're talking.

There are certain things that I've thought were near impossible and then I ended up gaining. There were others that I strived for and didn't reach. And there are still others that I've not even bothered with.

A lot of this depends on what your motivation is, if it's something that you really feel strongly about then def give it your best effort, you never know!!! On the other hand, be practical and don't set yourself up for disappointment.

Depends on the payback. If it is near impossible, but the possibility is increased by my putting more effort in (ie work harder and you are more likely to get a raise, even in a place where raises are hard to come by), then yes, I would go for it. If it is near impossible and totally up to chance (ie Lottery), then I wouldn't bother (unless it is 300Million then I play just in case).

Hmm not sure if that made any sense at all.

I'd rather live with failure knowing that I tried.
Living with what ifs can be suffocating. Worse than choking on whys.
