In North Carolina some years ago, there was nasty fire in a residential home. The owners were able to escape the house and by the time the firefighters got there, the blaze was raging out of control.
The homeowners rushed to the side of a firefighter and let them know that they did not see their Doberman anywhere and that he must still be stuck inside the house - which by now, was in inferno.
The brave firefighter ran inside without a second thought and plunged in to save their beloved Doberman. For five long pinutes, there was no sight or sound of either of them, just the sound of the cackling fire devouring the family home. Finally, a very badly burned Doberman comes running out of the home soon followed by the firefighter who had saved his life. The Doberma had been stuck on the 2nd floor of the house with a log lodged between him and the door and he could not get out. The firefighter was able to move the beam and effectively save the dogs life.
Once the firefighter had gottent o relative safety, he looked up and saw the Doberman looking at him. The Doberman had not yet reached his family, even though they were witing to be reunited with him and were screaming his name.
The Doberman turns around and slowly, but intently walks towards the firefighter who had saved his life.
Both were badly burned, but the firefighter bends down and asks the Doberman, 'You ok?'
This is when the local news snapped this picture.
Here is a picture of the Doberman, kissing the face of the firefighter in gratitiude. Only afterwards, did he make his way to his family.
