Huntington Hilton and Melville Marriott

Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels where I can set aside rooms for guests?

Our hall recommends the Huntington Hilton and Melville Marriott. I am not familiar with either.

If anyone knows these hotels or others, what are your thoughts? Also, would you recommend we stay there on our wedding night?

If you have other suggestions please post.

TIA!!

Re: Huntington Hilton and Melville Marriott

I've never stayed at the Hilton, but I've gone to a couple of bridal events there. Looks like a nice place.

Re: Huntington Hilton and Melville Marriott

i reserved rooms at the melville mariott - becuase they had the number i needed - the hotel seemed nice and they were very easy to work with - they will give you a suite for free if you reserve a certain number of rooms and they are used - we are reserving 60 rooms and if all are booked will have two free nights of the suite so my FI has a place to get ready too

i have also heard good things about the Hilton too - they just could not enough rooms for me

WOW! 60 rooms! I would set aside abotu 20... I'm not sure how many people will actually use them - probably not enough for a suite but I'll try.

THANKS!!!

Re: Huntington Hilton and Melville Marriott

no the scary thing is we are redoing lists and that may go up - but only my family is from Long island - his family and our friends are from all over

we had to guarantee half because it was such a high number and i wanted them all at one hotel to give transportation

but for 20 rooms there is no guarantee

Re: Huntington Hilton and Melville Marriott

We reserved rooms at the Marriot b/c the price was a little more reasonable but they both looked nice & the lady at the Hilton was very sweet
