huntington hilton- bad choice?

we blocked rooms here instead of melville marriott and we are having our sunday brunch there. i keep hearing about mishaps here and it's making me really nervous. should i switch back to melv. marriott?

the woman i'm dealing with is very nice and responsive so i'm surprised everyone has had such problems with them.

it wasn't what I expected...I thought I would be treated like a queen...but I wasn't...

I know there are pros to the hilton over the marriot...none of my guests had problems though...except for some cold items at our brunch the next morning

Oh no, this makes me very nervous! FH and I are having our engagement party there next month. I hope we don't encounter any problems, but I'll let you know.
We were dealing with one lady there and then she left (or got fired), so someone else took over the planning of our party. We went this week, and she told us the room we are having it in does not have seating for the amount of people we are inviting. Meanwhile, the first woman who was handling our party told us it seats at least 225. The new lady said 'well, we can change the room of your party and put you in one of our bigger rooms.' We booked our party in the atrium (the big open area when you first walk in) and that's where we really wanted it, so we are still having it there. They will just put in as much seating as possible. But still, our guests may not all have a seat. I was so upset at this meeting and all i could think was 'If I had known all of this beforehand, I would have booked my party at the Melville Marriott.'
As you can see, my experience with the Huntington Hilton has not been good so far.

My mom is good friends with the managers wife...and they were at our wedding...you would think we would have gotten better than average service...but we got below average...

I blocked rooms there also. I'm not having a brunch or any parties there, so I'm not worried about the service. The woman I also talk to, Laurie, is very nice and helpful and gets back to me quickly everytime. . . I've been pleased.
