Have any of you been to a wedding there? I'm checking it out today. Does anyone know are they pretty expensive? Thanks in advance.

Re: Huntington Townhouse?
Never been to a wedding there, but went to other affairs there, My personal opinion is that there are too many affairs at one time...
food was good...nothing to rave about

I've been to the HTH for a wedding, a Christening and several company functions there. It's very much a 'wedding factory' - IMO. The food is mediocre and the staff was indifferent. I know they are very reasonable, but there are other affordable places that are much nicer than the HTH.
Again, this is only my opinion.

Re: Huntington Townhouse?
I got married there, as did Julz33 and quite a few other people.
It's a mixed bag. It's very reasonable, the food was great and they give you TONS.
The decor is NOT my style, to say the least. But I loved the skylight in our reception room, and I liked the gazebo, so it didn't really matter that much.
There is a kind of wedding factory feel to it, but it didn't matter so much to me or my guests. The service was great for us. Many people in my family said it was the best wedding they had ever been too. My bridal attendant was great.
However, beforehand, the sales reps are kinda 'used car salesmanlike.' Very eager to push the deal - pushy, but stand your ground and the might lower the price for you. We got a GREAT price, especially for glatt kosher (which is why we went with the place, all the problems not withstanding). They promise you the moon, but get everything in writing. They have problems calling you back. Try getting Ellen Rose - I heard she was better than the others.

Re: Huntington Townhouse?
We had our e-party there and the food was pretty good, our Maitre'D was helpful too, but like one of the brides mentioned you have to get everything in writing and haggle for prices..We dealt w/ Steven Silver and he acts like he cant go any lower than a price and you'll find he can easily go $20 lower/head!! Hes full of it IMO.
But I know tons of people that have gotten married there because they offer good prices.
The place is huge so I wouldnt worry about more than one wedding at a time.
Good luck!

Re: Huntington Townhouse?
I got married there in Sept. I kinda settled on the place because I wanted to have alllll my friends and family there and we were paying for the wedding on our own. I wrote a review on the Brides Review board. If you want to search for it I did a review a dn you can see some pictures. There were a few problems but nothing major. Overall the day was a big sucess and I am very happy I made that decision to have all my family and friends there at a less expensive hall than have a very small wedding a an expensive hall.I also dealt with Steven. the girls are right he is very salesmanly-like but then again so was my FH Don't be afraid to negotiate with him. I also wanted to add we used the rooms 'Plaza' and 'Crystal Ballroom' which has seperate entrances, stairs, elevators, and bathrooms. I didn't see another bride OR guests from another party that night at all. I am FMing you pricing.
