maybe im a little late but did you hear huntington townhouse is closing very soon, we met a bride that was booked and when she went to make a payment they told her they cancelled her wedding and that they were closing, make sure you call and see whats going on....

one of my students booked their bat mitzfa (sp?) there YEARS ago, and now it is around the corner, they just found out that it is canceled... they are soo upset now and are having trouble locating another place and are pissed that they were told so last minute...

from what I've heard, the Huntington Townhouse has been a bit of a mess for years - this wouldn't be the first time that they've screwed people over or messed up their bookings, if what I've heard is true.
My sympathies to anybody who has a problem because of this!

Wow this is so sad. My friend was told that they were going to keep the weddings until Winter 07 so that everyone before then were safe. I dont know what to tell her...maybe I will ask her if she has heard afrom them or any new arrangements.
she is getting married this July is it possible that she can book something else? It wasnt that she was going the cheap route either, just a huge wedding more than 380 so I wonder

Sorry to hear that! A friend of mine from work was looking to get married this August and I made some calls for her and I know the Watermill had a few (emphasis on FEW!!) dates left as did the Swan Club!! HTH

From what I heard on 1010wins, they have sold the property and will be tearing down the building to build a Lowe's Store. They didn't say when.

It is possible, but she may have to do some research and be flexible with the date. I would tell her to start looking now.

I was married at the townhouse in July 2006. It is a shame to see them go. They did such a beautiful job on my wedding and you can't beat the price for what we had gotten. The day was perfect, the service was excellent and the food was great. My parents were also married there about 35 years ago... They were talking about closing prior to my wedding, so I can say that I am not surprised that they sold. So sad to see it go...

That stinks that anyone should have to worry about this so close to their event dates.
Plus I had my high school prom there and it always made me smile when I drove by.

Me too I did hear about this and I just can't believe that they were booking all of these parties knowing that they were going to be closing in '07. Horrible!
