My father is in Naples and he had to evacuate last night, he is in a hotel now, he lives right on the Gulf of Mexico, I hope his home does not 'vanish'...we've had it for over 20 years!

My whacko sis is in Jacksonville and said she is not leaving and is having a hurricaine party tonight. Her area is safe so far...

My Aunt and a few cousins had to evacuate this morning....it stinks cause my uncle is up here on buisness!

I live in Clermont (by orlando) and it just passed us a couple of hours ago... no major damage by me (hey, i am online!) but in orlando they lost power and should be without it for a couple of days! I actually had a 'hurricane day' from school today! (I am a teacher). VERY different from a snow day! Not as pretty, and there is nothing to play in afterwards... although my sister and I ran out in the wind like a couple of morons and did a little jig.
