So Im getting married this friday in Long Beach. Im so depressed over Hurrican earl. Im numb and fear the worst. That the roads get flooded and our guests cant get to the Allegria. I even hear evacutations may occur... what the hell do we do then!? 1 year and 8months of planning for this.

Oh no!! I feel terrible I'm so sorry. I would call the Allegria and ask what would happen if the streets were to get flooded and see if they have any recommendations for you. You never know, maybe it won't be as bad as they say. I'm praying for you!

i agree that you should call your RH to see if they have any recommendations on what to do if roads flood.
it may be too late for this, but maybe you can buy wedding insurance just in case (check out wedsafe.com)
i'm hoping it just rains and there are no major issues!
regardless of the weather, you'll have an awesome day!

I am so sorry you have this stress a couple of days before your wedding. It might not be as bad as they are predicting. I think in areas by the water they have to prepare in advance for the worst just in case. I agree with the other posters that you should call your RH to see what their plan is. In the end, it will all work out and you will be married to the love of your life.

I wouldn't worry right now...See how it plays out tomorrow...These things can blow off... They are talking evacuation plans etc because of Katrina and they don't want to look bad in case of anything. It is also the 'big 3 day weekend' so it is making alot of 'news' on the tv... Try calling the venue and see what they are planning on doing... I will keep good thoughts for you.....

My fingers are crossed for you... my friend is also getting married Fri and is so worried about the hurricane... all you can do is hope for the best.
I would definitely also be in touch with the RH and ask them what the procedure is in case of a hurricane.
Try not to worry you should be fine!

Re: Hurricane Earl Support
I know you are prbably soooo worried, but honestly living here in LB, they are not going to evacutate. They were thinking about doing the hospital, but now that they see it isn't going to hit us, everyone is back to being calm. When the roads do folld, it is NEVER over by the hotel. It is usually in the west end (where I live)...so I would't worry about that.
As far as the rain on your wedding...just remember one thing...(this is where the term tying the knot came from...an old sailor thing) When tying a knot...a wet knot doesn't slip! :)
Good luck, and I look forward to your reviews...I am gettin married there in 3 months!!! :)
