Re: Hurricane Season
I actually looked on the farmer's almanac website and the funniest thing.... It said for the northeast coast to expect a hurricane the last week of sept of this year... My wedding is Sept 26th... never mind the honeymoon location, we are talking the actual wedding. lol. Needless to say If you have your heart set on a specific location just book it and go. It doesn't matter where you are if your meant to get hit with a hurricane. lol..

Oh no, hopefully the almanac is wrong! Yeah we might just end of going for it. We'll see. I'm going to do a little more research before deciding.

Re: Hurricane Season
Hurricane season is from June to October. I say go where you want, and don't worry about hurricanes.. just get trip insurance just in case. We are going to the Riviera Maya, Mexico in October. The chance of being hit by a hurricane is very slim! (knocking on wood!)
um...the hurricane season can really ruin a vacation...let me tell you. I'd say as long as its not a cruise i would still book. but dont do a cruise in hurricane season...i did once because it was a great deal and couldnt pass it up. (it was with my ex) Anyway,...we had the fancy top floor room with a balcony, big bed...BUT..the weather got so bad that the waves were LITERaLLY crashing over our balcony...YEP...ON THE TOP FloOR OF THE BOAT!

Re: Hurricane Season
We booked at the Occidental Grand Aruba since Aruba is below the hurricane belt! I didn't want to take any chances and besides, I hear Aruba is beautiful!

Re: Hurricane Season
Its still hurricane season and we HM in Punta Cana. We had great weather until the day we had to come back. Our flight was delayed because of Tropical storm Fay. I wouldnt worry about it. Just book your HM and get travel insurance. Its a hit or miss

Re: Hurricane Season
we are this year- we bought insurance & we are not worried- we are going to the southern caribbean- the best areas to go are what they call the A-B-C islands Aruba, not sure what the B is- maybe barbados, and the c is curacao
these islands dont get hit because they are out of the hurricane belt

The B stands for Bonaire... We're going to aruba to lessen our chances of gettin hit with a hurricane...
