where are you going on your honeymoon? We originally booked a European cruise, but we are ditching that idea for a few reasons. Our travel agent recommended Riviera Maya in Mexico and I think it is beautiful, but FH is not 'completely sold' on it? And Aruba is out. I don't want to go too deep into the Carribean because with my luck there would be a huge hurricane. I need some ideas.

Hurricane season is usually over by mid-October, isn't it?

I'm going to Antigua. We are taking a risk by going there but FH didn't want to go to Hawaii because the flight was too long

Bermuda is GORGEOUS -- you're going to love it.
When we were there they said they are not really affected by hurricanes because they are technically an atlantic island and not part of the caribbean. They have pleasant weather pretty much year round.

We are going to the Riveria Maya for our HM. Good friends of FH went to the all-inclusive we are staying at for their HM and they loved it. I have heard only really great things about the Riveria Maya.

We are doing Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Morrea! I know my luck so I would not risk going to the Caribbean!

Re: Hurricane season brides
we're thinking of Puerto Vallarta or Acapulco since it's on the west coast of Mexico and farther away from hurricanes

Re: Hurricane season brides
we are doing st lucia -- we ruled out hawaii because we wanted to leave the country, and we wanted to go somewhere tropical. aruba is probably the safest but we heard so many great things about st lucia (possibly the 2nd safest) that we just went with it.
we are going to do a europe trip as a post-bar-exam/1 year anniv trip. we only have 8 days for our honeymoon so we wanted to save europe for a time when we could go for longer

I think it's further south than a lot of the other islands. Re the 'second safest' thing, I don't know, that's just what I've heard! I've heard Aruba is the safest, then St. Lucia, and then the rest are a little more risky.
Edit: how long will you be there? We fly out on the 18th
