Hurricane Wilma jumped from a Category 2 storm to a Category 5 overnight, and now has sustained winds of 175mph. It is projected to make landfall in southwest Florida.

I'm not kidding.
My mom (and several other relatives) live in Central Florida, so I am concerned for their safety. My uncle and cousin are supposed to fly down there on Tuesday for vacation. I'm not sure they are going to be able to now.

my mother and grandmother live in south florida....
They are saying this is the most intense storm ever recorded. The pressure is the lowest they've ever seen. I believe it's 882 milibars

Someone on LIW posted a pic of its projected path, and it looks like we'll get hit (with probably just some rain and winds) on Monday.
