We are working on our honeymoon this week and we have priced out the Hyatt & Westin in Maui for 11 days, 10 nights. There is about a $600 dollar difference (Hyatt more $$). Both places included breakfast for two daily. I have a friend who stayed at the Hyatt & said to go there and a friend that stayed at the Westin & said to go there. Any opinions or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've heard great things about both as well. My friend who stayed at the Hyatt liked it but, said the Westin's lobby was nicer.
We're staying at the Westin primarily because we're Starwood vacation club owners so we can use our pts pr our week to stay there.
ETA She thought the Hyatt's lobby was nice too! You can't go wrong with either, they are both high class hotels.

The HYATT! I went a few years ago and loved it. I thought the lobby was just a nice - tropical - there were parrots, ponds, etc. Rooms were great, food was great, service was excellent...

We booked te Hyatt. No real reason for the choice. We just liked it.
