Hey ladies..for those of you that have rooms blocked at they Hyatt, if you don't mind my asking...how much is it per night? Also did they throw anything in for you like a night free if a certain number of rooms are booked, etc? Thank you for your feedback...you're the best
(P.S. We got a room rate of $155/night and they gave us $2 off on the post-nuptial breakfast).

Re: Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge
I looked into blocking rooms there. The regular price for those nights in November was $109/night. The 'blocked' rate was $105, so I didnt even bother blocking off any rooms, because I would be responsible for the rooms they didnt sell. for me, it didnt pay to block off rooms, since the price was so reasonable to begin with...

Re: Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge
I talked to them about blocking rooms for Feb. The rate I got was $129. I would be responsible for any unused rooms!! I further inquired about an after party and rooms if we didn't just use the bar area. When I got to the part of the letter listing food and beverages...a keg of beer is $350!!

Re: Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge
I think our rate was similar...but quick word of advice..the contract asked for a credit card to guarantee the rooms. They were the first hotel who asked us for that information. We told them we would prefer our guests holding their rooms with their own credit cards. They changed the contract and gave a cancellation date of 30 days before the wedding instead.
No extras were given.
Good Luck.

Re: Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge
we blocked rooms there. i called a year before and they gave me a rate of $121/night. i blocked 35 rooms - i had to guarantee 15 rooms. i got a suite for DH and i for 2 nights for a discounted rate. the lobby bar was supposed to close at 1am, but probably closed around 2am because there were a decent amount of people down there.
granted there aren't many perks from hyatt, but all my guests enjoyed it and the salesperson i dealt with was really nice and helpful in the whole planning process.

i blocked rooms for my june 16 wedding and got the same rates as you. we were responsible for any rooms not filled as well, but i did have to stay on top of them because my wedding wasnt over until 1 am and technically thats checking in the next day so because people didnt check in before midnight, they gave the rooms away when my cousin booked there. so i had to stay on top of every manager to make sure they put in the computers what time my guests would be checking in...
also i had my breakfast there the next day and they didnt really give me too much of a deal. it was beautiful hotel, but def stay on top of them!
