HYATT Wind Watch....

HYATT Wind Watch....

OK.... I'm getting nervous because we booked the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch hotel for our wedding. It seems that everyone RAVES about the service at the Hamlet, but rants about the service at the hotel....

Has ANYONE here had their wedding at the Hyatt Wind Watch hotel and have anything good to say about my decision...?
Thanks... Amy

Let me see if I can find the review of a bride that got married at the hotel. From what I remember, the reception was wonderful so dont worry.

I attended a wedding at the hotel about 7 years ago - I think it was the Marriot back then.

It's a beautiful hotel...and the Hyatt is a good name - I'm sure it will be fabulous!

I went to a wedding in the Hotel last year and it was awesome. I don't know about the change in ownership but it was good anyway.

I cant find the bride that got married there. She posted pics and I remember it was so beautiful. I copied this from one of the brides that was there just a couple of months ago for a wedding.

For anyone interested in the Windwatch Hotel, it is beautiful. The hospitality suite we had would be equivalent to a bridal suite. Plenty of room and a little balcony outside too. Very comfortable. Cocktail hour was in the Terrace Cafe (I think that's what it's called) - very pretty - high ceilings, lots of windows and plenty of room. Everyone loved the eggplant rollatini (or parm - not sure which it was) and the chicken quesadillas, which were butler passed. The main part of the reception was in the ballroom. The tables were set for ten people and we all had enough room. Appetizer was salad with grilled shrimp and we had a choice of salmon, filet mignon or stuffed chicken. Everyone loved the filet mignon, although I asked for it medium well and it was done rare. Whenever you leave your table, the waiters always fix your napkin, and they were pretty good about taking away empty glasses. There were three bars in the room for about 250 people. It seemed like enough. They opened another part of the room for the venetian hour. The desserts were delicious!

The DJ was Rantin and Raven. Personally, FH and I didn't care for him, although we had heard good reviews in the past. I do not know the name of the actual DJ. We didn't like the way he mixed the music.

Overall, it's a beautiful place and everyone seemed to like the food. The dance floor was a good size for the number of people there

Thanks for the pep talk ladies..... I was getting worried that the 'you get what you pay for' line might be coming true. We got a discounted rate pp for our wedding because we both work for Southwest Airlines (that Hyatt is where we overnight)-considering we will be having TONS of OOT guests, it seemed like a no brainer to book the then Wyndham.

Jola.... What do you do? please FM me with any info you might have about how the 'transition' from Wyndham to Hyatt is going! I'll also be looking out for you on my next overnight.

I am working Front Desk. My first time working in a hotel. So far it looks like I will be working there only Fridays and Saturdays. He has me down for mondays, but I don't want that.

I got married there last February when it was the Wyndham Wind Watch. All I can say is that it was outstanding. The place is beautiful!!We had a fairly large wedding (about 320 people), and they catered to our every need. FM me if you have any questions.

Went to a wedding there just recently. Very nice. The only thing is be careful about the cake! It was AWFUL! I don't know who the hotel uses for a bakery or if the couple found the bakery on their own but it was disgusting. I don't want to sound negative but I'd rather know ahead of time then find out on my day! Just make sure you have a tasting first!

I can't remember the bakery the hotel used for my cake, but it was amazing (I think it was Alpine Bakery). I actually had no leftovers which is unusual for wedding cake (considering we also had a Viennese hour). I still have people telling me how yummy it was.

As far as the cake......I heard it was one of the best bakeries in Suffolk. Something beginning wtih an A. I cant remember the name but I think you can bring in your own if you want but Im not a cake lover.
