Hyatt Windwatch in August, need advice

I want to do the Hyatt for my Aug 8 wedding room blocks but they said it would be $159 a night. That seems high. Anyone get a similar rate or have advice of somewhere else to look that has a nice room for the wedding night?

I work there alot (I'm a meeting planner and we hold a lot of events there) That is actually an AWESOME rate! we don't even get that when we bring in a huge meeting with 100 rooms! Take it and run!

Thats a good rate, I was quoted for 199 a night at one place.

I was quoted $159 at the La Quinta Hotel in Garden City for June. I think thats a reasonable price for a weekend in the summer. I wouldn't worry about it. The Hyatt is a beautiful hotel. Its not like you are getting them $159 for the Super 8 Motel.

we stayed there for a wedding at flowerfiels and it was very pretty, i think 159 is very reasonable for such a nice hotel

I'm using the Marriot on Expressway Drive very close to the Hyatt - they quoted me at $139 per night if we block 10 rooms and the suite is the same price. I went there to check it out and both the rooms and suite are really nice.

We just stayed there for my brother's wedding this Saturday. There rate was $135 a night. I inquired about the rate for my wedding and they quoted me $181. I guess there are all over the place w/ their rates.
