My florist is telling me that she DOES NOT recommend including them in my CP's b/c they limp quickly - they dont stay as nice as roses do Yet - I see sooooo many CP's w/ them?

Re: Hydranga
I was at a wedding where the bride had mostly ALL Hydrenga in her CP's. They held up amazing all night, no problems. See pics.
maybe they wilt faster during the summer time and that's why your florist doesn't recommend them. maybe you can ask how you can keep them looking fresh. as long as the flowers go directly from an airconditioned van to an air conditioned venue, i don't see why they wouldn't hold up. maybe not for a bouquet if you're going to be lugging it around with you all day. but as a cp they should be alright. ask around.

Re: Hydranga
We had hydrangea CPs and they looked great all night long.
My bouquet wilted right after the wedding, but it looked nice throughout the night.

That is exactly what I want to do. I think we have to do them that day. Do you think that is what your florist did?

Re: Hydranga
we had hydranga and there was no problem with them wilting. Some of the guests took the centerpieces home and said they lasted for a few days.

Re: Hydranga
I havent heard that about hydrangea. (but im not a forist) We are using them equally w/ roses.
The only flower I was told to stay away from with bo-ks only were peonies b/c they are very fragile.
The may need to do the cps that day. I know not all florists do this.

Re: Hydranga
I am using all hydrangea....CP's & bo-k too. Florist told me as long as they have a water source and its not a super hot day they should hold up beautifully. Im keeping my fingers crossed...

Same here. It also depends on the quality of the flower

Re: Hydranga
hydranga in bouquets do wilt. If u have a all hydrangea bo-k it goes limp. I had a mix.....some hydrangea in my bo-ks my centerpieces were roses and hydragena and they did not wilt...it last a week after my wedding (my mom had taken home a centerpiece)
check out my review for pics of the flowers

Re: Hydranga
IMO, in CPs youre fine bc they have that good water source all night and esp if youre indoors where its cool. I used them in my CPs and they held up great, but i opted not to use them in my bo-ks since we would be outside and youd prob have to put a watersource in the bo-k's to make them stay, but those make them clunky and heavier. they wilt too fast in bo-k's IMO.

Re: Hydranga
can't speak to cp's but i'm sure if they have a water source they'd be fine. as for bo-k's... was in a wedding this summer where our bo-k's were nothing but hydrangeas. after they had been out of water for about an hour and a half for the ceremony and pictures, they were in desperate need of water. so we put them into cups at our tables and they perked back up after a little while. but they definitely need the water.

Go under Martha Stewarts site she has something about them. Never mind they are about growing them

I was in a wedding where the bo-ks were hydrangea and they were brown and wilted by the time we got to the reception. The cps though were fine because they had a water source. We used them for our wedding too...lots of pics in my review.
