FH has hyperhydrosis and sweats a lot under his arms and I found out from a few people that Botox can help with this. I've been trying to look into this so he can possibly get it done before the wedding so he wont have to worry about massively sweating in his suit. Has anyone heard about it? Had it done???

Re: Hyperhydrosis and Botox
YES its true, MANY celebrities get this done so they won't sweat. Ive read about this
I'm almost positive this was on TV recently and they showed Omarosa from the Apprentice having it done. She was crying a little, but your FH is a big strong man and I'm sure he can take it!

Re: Hyperhydrosis and Botox
botox does help.. but i highly suggest going to see your doctor and getting a RX for ... Drysol.. its a liquid that you put on your arm pits and it works almost the same way and its 10xs cheaper. and covererd by insurence. i had this problem when i was in middle school (totally embarrassing) i could out sweat anyone in the middle of a snow storm. but after a year of use i havent had to use it since. it worked wonders and i actually have a 14 year old patient now with the same problem and its working great for her as well.. it takes some time to work but its great. FM me if you have more ?'s

Re: Hyperhydrosis and Botox
oh yeah...FH has a similar condition from an injury in his wrist (yes i read your post correctly...) he has some kind of nerve damage that can make his wrist leak. His DR does botox once a year for the past 4 years and it works like a charm. It hurts a little but you can use Emla cream (topical anesthetic) first and it helps A LOT. After the botox you have to kind of chill out for a few days so you don't cause any permanent nerve damage. You might be able to find a plastic surgeon who does it. Try Dr. Greenberg.
