So I am going to be legally chaning my last name to FH's, but I wanted to hyphenate for work. How would I go about this?

Re: Hyphenation question
um...will you always use the hyphenated name or just at work? if you're not using it for anything except to keep your work identity, you don't need to do anything.
If you're going to have that on your checks etc, then yes, they'll ask you at the license dept and then you'll change your name w the hyphen.

What she said! Though if your office is anything like mine they'll probably give you a hard time since it's not what is on your IDs/marriage license/etc.

That's annoying - I'm changing it legally to his so that will be my name on my checks, license etc. At work I'm obviously known with my maiden name so I don't want any confusion, especially when I'm trying to get referrals to open a private practice. I mean, I guess I really don't have to tell anyone anything anyway - just the IT dept and change my buisness cards and everything...
Who knows - ,ay be more trouble than it's worth to hyphenate only at work...
