Hypnotism for weight loss and smoking....

Not sure if it's the same, but my mom and I went years ago for weight loss. It was interesting. I felt like I was hypnotized. Generally what they did after hynotizing us was talk about fat, and how it's bad for your body, and how badly it makes a person feel. They pretty much tried to gross us out about fat. I think it worked a little. They also gave us a cassette tape with a mini version of the same stuff.

I watched a special on tv - it may have been dateline or one of those types of shows where they followed a group of people who were on a quest to lose weight. Each member of the group tried a different weight loss method like slimfast, weight watchers, extreme exercise, hypnosis, personal trainer and cook etc... The results found that the person who had hypnosis actually lost more weight than any of the other people.

I'd like to do hypnosis, but for my fear of flying....
