lets say you find out when your shower is. i have a good idea as to when mine is, but not 100 % sure. would you dress up and act surprised? or dress like you normally would and act surprised?
i really want to be dressed nice for this; but i don't want anyone to think i know about it. and i don't normally dress up on the weekends....help

that is what i would do!...I on the other hand have no idea when my shower is...everyone is being too good with the secret keeping!

same for me, everyone was keeping the secret. until on mothers day, my sis and bil were over and they were arguing about the weekend of the 3rd..hmmmmm...got me suspicious and i asked fh and he said no.
now its just driving me nutty

I might consider doing something in between, as in dressier than normal for the weekend, but not so much so that everyone will figure out I knew in advance, but still nice enough to make myself happy!

Dressing up doesn't mean you knew when it was. I dressed up every weekend becuase I kept thinking it was that weekend and I wanted to be prepared.

i hear ya jeanine. i want to know, but i know that i am only ruining it for myself. and everyone who worked hard on this.....hmm, i may go shopping and see if i can't find something for the rehearsal dinner

I would start dressing up on weekends until the shower. That way it will not seem strange you are dressing up. They will think you are being precautious about looking nice for the shower whenever it happens

That's what I would do too. And I don't want to pretend like I'm surprised if I'm not. I think it'll be more genuine to walk in and just be happy/excited that everyone was there to support me.

I knew wehn my shower was but only told a few people, no one who was planning it, didn't want to disappoint them. I dressed normal and acted surprised, though I didn't have to act too much as my mom flew in from Illinois for the shower, that I didn't know about.
It would have been out of character for me to dress up, so I dressed 'normal'.

i figured out when mine was beforehand, but nobody knew that i knew... so i just wore something that was sort of in between dressy and casual. a pair of blue capri pants and a white shirt. not dressed down, but not obviously dressed up, either-
