Hyundai owners...please help!

DH is looking to buy a Santa Fe. His lease on his GTI is up at the end of the month. Can anyone suggest a good dealership? We've been told to stay far, far away from Millennium in Hempstead!

Also, does anyone remember who posted about the way to buy the car using the invoice price and telling the dealer you'll give him that plus $500 for his commission? I can't find the post.

THANKS!

We bought our Elantra from Nemet motors in Queens. We got a great deal, walked out with the car the same day.

I would recommend purchasing from the Atlantic Auto Mall on Sunrise Hwy I think in West Islip. I got charged an outrageous interest rate there.
Best of luck though! I love my Hyundai and would recommend them to anyone!

I TOTALLY DISAGREE ABOUT MILLENIUM. I just bought my Hyundai Sonata there last Friday and had NOTHING but positive experiences there - no pushiness whatsoever!!

If you want to fm me, feel free - I can tell you the name of my guy that I dealt with who was wonderful...perhaps someone had a bad experience there but I'm sure that's true of all dealerships...I on the other hand was very recently satisfied.

Thanks for all your input! We're going to start our search today. Marni, it's nice to hear you had a good experience. We've heard 3 horror stories so far so we are hesitant. I remember when I was looking for my car about 7 months ago, some of the Millennium dealships there in Hempstead weren't very nice and kind of shady at times. If we go, I'll FM you for the name of your salesman.

THANKS! Anyone else have any suggestions?

Re: Hyundai owners...please help!

Good luck! The Sante fe's are so cute. The only thing that surprised me about them is that I believe they come standard 4 cylinder and 2 wheel drive.....seems odd to me for such a large vehicle.....4 cylinder doesn't seem like enough to get that moving.....best of luck and let me know if you need any info.
