Hyundai Sante Fe

Hyundai Sante Fe

Does anyone have one, or know someone that has one??

I'd love to hear feedback, especially on safety and how they drive in rain/snow. Any info would be very helpful!

OR...does anyone have any recomendations for any other low priced SUV?
Thanks

Re: Hyundai Sante Fe

We've been looking into the Mazda Tribute. It's pretty affordable, and IMO better looking than the Santa Fe.
A friend has the Tribute and absolutely loves it. She lives in Huntington in there area where there are alot of hills. This winter she could have gotten to her house if she didn't have it! It's great in the snow and ice.

Two of my friends have the Santa Fe and they love the truck. It is very affordable, very reliable and very good in all types of weather. If you are going to get a used one just stay away from the 2000. That was the first year it was made. There is also another nice truck that you should take a look at. Someone at my job bought one and she loves it. It is the KIA SORRENTO. It is made by Hyundai. If you didnt know Hyundai Owns Kia.

Re: Hyundai Sante Fe

I got my Sante Fe about 2 years ago, and I love it! I have had no problems with it, it has treated me very well. It still looks brand new. The safety ratings are terrific. (That was one of the main reasons why I bought it.) When I bought it, it was the highest rated mini SUV for safety. (Right now, the only one on the Highway Safety website that beats it is the Subaru Forrester.)

For safety ratings go to: http://www.highwaysafety.org/vehicle_ratings/ratings.htm
and
http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ncap/ncap.cfm?lookup=yes&vehclass=car&vehdesc=Car

Other reasons why I bought it (I did tons of reasearch before I decided on it): it handles more like a car than a truck. It has an awesome warranty. And, it's good looking!

Definitely test drive one. If you have any other questions, feel free to FM me.

ETA: The price is great! And I have had no problems with it in the rain or snow, and mine is only the 2 wheel drive version. (I would recommend the 6 cylinder over the 4, it has much more pep.)

Re: Hyundai Sante Fe

DH and I just bought a Tribute. We had been looking into the Santa Fe but found for the same price we could get a Tribute. After test driving them, the answer was easy for us! We were only looking to buy a small SUV with side impact airbags and ABS brakes, so we ruled out so many! The warranty is not as long as the Hyundai one but we like the truck so much better. Check out Mazda!

Mazda Mazda Mazda!!
Im such an addict.
They are such great vehicles for the price. They have all the add in features and style. I am severely bias though. They last forever!

Ive had my Mazda 7 years, its 10 years old. I have driven it in every weather and through 15 states. It's been in 5 car accidents (one my fault the rest weren't) and has over 148,000 miles on it. It still runs like a dream. No knocking, clicking, studdering or shaking. LOOOVE my car!! But then again, Im religious about the 3 months or 3000 mile oil change (whichever comes first, literally).
This is of course NOT a tribute.. its an MX3. Not made for winter weather..but it's been fine.

Go test drive the Mazda

Ok off my Mazda soapbox
Sorry.

PS: We're looking to buy the Mazda6, sweet.
