I admit this is a bridezilla question but....

how are you having your cloth napkins put out on the tables? fanned out? napkin rings? folded with the menus?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE POST SOME PICTURES!

i know this isnt a big deal but i'm still undecided...

I don't have a pic but folded flat on the plate with the menu tucked into it.

I am not big on the fanned out thing.

PS not a bridezilla question -- just paying attention to detail!

We're having a fan fold and tucked in the fan will be our 'In lieu of a favor...donation' scrolls, rolled and tied with ribbon. Not a bridezilla question...I was very unsure at the RH and we discussed different options for like ten minutes...drove FH crazy LOL!!

This is what I am doing only with Silver Chargers under the napkins (black) then a silver favor bag on the bottom.

Re: I admit this is a bridezilla question but....

this is not a bridezilla question at all...but i can see how some would not even think twice about this situation. I definitely didn't until my florist told me that I should request that the napkins be either laid with the menu tucked in or folded on the plate. She said that because I am having some low centerpieces and if the napkins are fanned in the glasses it will cover the view of the centerpieces

I liked the tucked in menu look

I never even thought about it so thank you for bringing it up.

I would like the menu tucked in the napkin but won't make an issue out of it if they do it another way.

i'm either going to do a fan on the plate or
tucked around the donation card we're making since we wont have menus

honestly, i wasnt asked ahead of time how i would want this done. I didnt even think about it to tell you the truth since i know they have their own way of doing it so i didnt put any thought into this.

This is how my tables looked when guests entered the reception room

ETA: also dont forget alot has to do with the appetizers being on the plates when guests enter...not all RH's do this but alot do, mine had the appetizers on the plate before guests entered the room. I know some people like it with the menu on the plate but with some Rh's you dont have this choice so then the whole menu in napkin thing doesnt work out if your rh does it. I wouldve requested the menu in the napkin on top of the plate if there was no appetizer on the plate

catie, you cant really do it on the plate. JT has appetizers on the plates, they are put on the plate while guests are still in the CH room and when they walk in its there waiting for them

I'm actually glad you brought it up b/c I hadn't even thought about it! Whatever my RH normally does it okay with me. I have so many things that have to be on everyone's place setting - we may not have an option!

That was DEF not a Bridezilla question! I had a Bridezilla moment over the weekend and posted and I never should have b/c the replies just made me feel worse! First time that has happened to me on this site! But then again, I am super sensitive and take things way too personally LOL!

Anyway, good luck!!!
