went to burtons with my mom and MOH yesterday and i got my dress....went back to show them this other dres that i thought i liked but when i put it back on i didnt like it as much...so i re tried on this other one that i totally fell in love with and my moh and my mom both teared up and i knew it was it......i wasnt even going to put it back on...bc when i went with my c ousin last week she told me it didnt look good on me so i really thought it looked bad......but i couldnt stop thinking about it so we were getting ready to leave and i was like' theres this one dres i really liked but Bri told me it didnt look good' so my mom was like well try it on let me see.........and that was it!!!! Im so excited....i thought it was kind of early to order it but the girl said it could take 10-12 mos to come in so we ordered it...im so excited!!! .........Its everything i said i didnt want in a dress....but i loved it!!! i only have one problem now.....i didnt ask my FMIL to go with us and now i feel guilty so i havent told her yet? and the more i think about it the worse i feel...i dont want her to feel left out but i wanted to just go with my mom and my MOH who is my best friend...bc the last time i went with everyone it was way too many opinions!!!! So now i dont know how to tell her i ordered my dress?!?!

That is a beautiful dress. Just tell FMIL that you ordered it and if she seems offended just explain nicely why. I don't see why she'd be upset.

I wouldn't worry about your FMIL feeling bad. It wasn't like you were planning to buy a dress THAT DAY. Let her know that you'd like to plan a day for the two of you to go to lunch together and then go check out your dress. That's what I did.

In regards to your FMIL...Don't worry...it's not like you knew you were going to purchase your dress that day. I like Kim's (AMGBride2008) suggestion. Bring her to the salon so she can see your dress and then go out to lunch with her.

I love that dress...I was thinking about getting the same one! I wouldn't feel bad about FMIL. Most girls brought FMIL for their first fitting, not really for the shopping process. I would only want my mom and MOH there shopping for a dress. Too many opinions would drive me crazy.
