I also have a confession to make...

With 5 1/2 weeks to go to my wedding, I can't find the motivation to do any more planning and I think that makes me a bad bride. I don't want to put our favors together, I don't want to put the slipper basket together, I don't want to do the menu, programs, pick readings or songs. It's like the wedding has turned into this huge project that I'm wishing were over already so life can go back to normal. I've love every part of planning up until now. FH and I are fine so it has nothing to do with the thought of getting married; it's more the throught of what still needs to get done before the wedding. Overwhelmed.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I think you and Darlene both need to either go out for some drinks or you both need a spa day. If you come with us on Friday, we may be able to do both!!!

I think we all reach a point where we get sick of wedding planning. It feels like you're just over it all and don't want to deal with it anymore and want it all to be over and done with.......which now means you are halfway to the 'I don't give a cluck' stage.

As your BM, if you need me to come over next week and work on any of those things, I would be more than willing to.....just say the word!!!

It's all going to get done-just breathe. I too have felt like this and still have lots of little things to do that I sort of keep putting off. We're tired damn it and we're entitled!!

definately recruit help...that is what friends and family are for. I know I would have never gotten throught the last few weeks without help....hang in there...it is all worth it!!!!

My advice which I am sure others have given is just take a step back for a few days and do other things like hang out with friends, family, etc. It should be a good change of pace where you can clear your mind. Also don't forget what all the planning is for...your marriage to your FH.

If that doesn't work, find out what stuff you really don't have to do and just delete it from your planning or delegate to others. Good luck!

I had that feeling about 2-3 weeks before my wedding as well. I just wanted everything to be done, and I wanted to be married already, and have life go back to normal.

We're all here to help and know that everything that needs to be done will get done and you will have the most amazing day ever!

You def need to take a break, try to just relax and have fun this weekend w/o wedding stuff!!!!!

I went though that too in July. It passes. You get a little burnt out planning for so long that you just dont' want to do it any more. Hence one of the reason I stop comming for a while.

I had a bunch of slumps, you get out of them eventually. Do the essentials, you can slack off on some of the small details. I can't bare to print or design anything else so I ordered the menus from ebay last name. $65 for 150 menus. Much easier than printing them myself.

Cindy was my savior when it came to wedding projects. She and her mother ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't have done half the things I did without her!!!!
