I am beside myself......How do I get my money back from a dentist who over charged me!
I am feel sick to my stomach at the moment...I have Invisalign and I know I have been over charged...I was charged $6,000 for 8 trays! I read on here how someone was charged $2200 for the same amount AND my teeth are not even straight! The dentist is horrible.
Who should I do to get in this matter?

OMG! That's crazy!! I would go there in person and ask that they adjust the bill!

I don't know much about this but maybe go get a second opinion from another dentist and see what he/she thinks. There may be a reason yours is more?
Also getting another opinion might help you in going back to your dentist and proving that he/she overcharged you.

can you go to the better business bureau with this?? i'm not sure if that falls within the types of things they adjudicate but it's worth a shot!
although - dentists are allowed to charge different rates for their services so you might not be able to get your money back?
in any event - keep us up to date! Hope you're able to resolve this!

How long ago did you get this treatment? Was it right when invisalign came out? Maybe it was more expensive in the beginning. I would contact BBB - maybe it could be helpful!! Im so sorry - I hope you werent ripped off.

BTW...I emailed this dentist on Friday...still has not gotten back to me

if this was done through insurance, i would contact the iinsurance company

That was a whole other mess....my insurance ran out from NYC and I was never able to claim the braces on insurance....this is straight from my pocket

I don't know if there is anything you can do about the cost - that is sometimes why it pays to get a second opinion.
But the crooked teeth might be a different matter - what did he promise, tell you etc.
