I don't get it. I took my younger brother to a match a few years back and was in shock. It was a ton of men yelling out at these guys as though they were superheros. I have met Hulk Hogan a few times and he is the biggest punk I have ever seen. Once at a concert he was standing outside the fence pushing people in the pit. Get in or stay out.

They don't even touch each other in the ring.
The people who we should be supporting is the camera crew who makes it somewhat entertaining.

I read Don's posts, and I don't know, I must be missing the magic

as a close observer and fan, i'll say what we in the trade tell the 'nonbelievers'

to those who know the deal, no explanation is needed

to those who don't believe, no explanation will do

I totally agree. That is why is is called World Wrestling Entertainment. It is Entertainment.

that is good because I really don't see it. I can see a 7 year old getting into it and their dad going along with the hoopla. But it is not that at all. It was a ton of men, and I even felt bad about bringing my brother. it was so inappropriate. A pimp came out with his hoes. Steve Austin opens beer cans with his teeth, then we watch him drive off. They are not role models at all. And I believe with Capt Lou that back in the day it was targeted for youth, but now...it is targeting adults

It's like a soap opera for guys.

Ok, that came out wrong . . . I definitely feel it was more fake when we were little. But then I didn't really care or notice, now I don't enjoy it because I feel it is fake . . .

Hey Don, you asked what we think . . .

I went through a phase when DH & a bunch of my guy freinds were into it. I I went to a few events, I used to watch the Pay Per Views at my friend's house, but it got old.

I guess it was jsut repeptitive after a while & I lost interest in the newer people.

FH was really into it and actually tried out and got called back for Tough Enough 1. You do need to know how to fall and some things can really hurt if you don't know what you are doing. The punches are, well, 'entertainment'. I do know what don means about not really being completely 'fake' though. I went to a few events and was a little disturbed when there was a bunch of 7-10 year olds seated by some drunk guys screaming a bunch of stuff I can't repeat...and then seeing the females up there strip down during bra and panty matches. Trust me I am far from uptight, but I did feel that was a bit inappropriate. Although the majority seems to be adults, there are still kids watching who idolize guys who will pile drive a half naked woman .
